Live with your regret

In act 2, scene 2 Lady Macbeth says “A little water clears us of this deed. How easy it is, then!” When she says this to Macbeth, she is trying to make him get over the fact that he killed Duncan. She basically said go wash off the blood and move on. Her attitude toward the situation was cold and heartless.

Then in act 5, scene 1 Lady Macbeth” What, will these hands ne’er be clean” Now Lady Macbeth is expressing some regret towards the murders. She just wants to be able to wash away the blood and the memories.

Give me a hand

Bad things happen to good people.

As Macbeth showed, bad things happen to good people. This is also true in real life. Have you ever helped someone with homework and then get busted for cheating? Or a more serious example; an innocent person gets killed by a drunk driver. Unfortunately that’s just the way it is and there is nothing we can do to change it. In the business world , coworkers like to screw each other over to get higher in the company. A few years ago, my dad was working on expanding our family business. In order to do so he needed business partners that could travel and work in the out of state stores. Once the stores were up and running my dad and his business partner were making bank, they were doing so well that our family was supsicous. My fathers co-worker was stealing money by not paying his taxes and then framing my dad for it. The government caught on from an anonymous call who just so happened to be my step sister. She knew that if she worked with my dads co-worker and the gornvenment she would receive money. My sister told the governement that my father wasn’t paying his taxes and then he was arrested and put in federal prison for 5 years. The government had no clue that they had arrested the wrong guy and my dads co-worker was off the hook.

            This is the perfect example of how bad things happen to good people. All my father was trying to do was expand his company but then he got screwed over.

Hands In

Macbeth: How you were borne in hand, how cross'd, the instruments,

“. I showed you the proof at our last meeting. I explained how you were deceived, how you were thwarted, the things that were used against you”

 When Macbeth uses “hand” in this line he was trying say how they were tricked.

Macbeth: Whose heavy hand hath bow'd you to the grave And beggar'd yours for ever?

“a man who has pushed you toward an early grave and put your family in poverty forever?”

Macbeth was arguing with the first murder about how he was tricked and was letting the guy go easily. “Hand” in this line was used literally because he said he was pushed into a grave.

Macbeth: Strange things I have in head, that will to hand; Which must be acted ere they may be scann'd. “. I have some schemes in my head that I’m planning to put into action”

Macbeth was saying that he needed to so what he was thinking about doing before the thought about it and changed his mind.

Lenox: Under a hand accursed! Lord I'll send my prayers with him.

“He should return quickly to free our country, which is suffering under a tyrant! Ill send my prayers with him”

Lenox is speaking to Lord and wants Macduff to come back.

Sleep time

In a dark night, you go outside and look at the stars. The moon is bright and the night is silent. Once you are relaxed, you want to lay in bed under the covers. Being in you pajamas makes you sleepy and you are ready to dream. The REM takes over and you wake up screaming. You realize you were having a nightmare and you don’t want to go back to sleep. 

Text and Subtext

For this blog, we had to create a dialogue with text and subtext. In My dialogue, Ariella got an ugly hair cut but Alyssa wont give her, her real opinion.

Alyssa: “OMG! Did you get your hair cut?”

What did she do to her head?

Ariella: “Yea! Do you like it?”

Alyssa:” Um yea it looks good”

That is the ugliest hair cut ive ever seen

Ariella: “I know you don’t like it.”

Stop being a bitch and just tell me the truth

Alyssa:”No its cute!”

I stll think it looks like shit.
